Bobbins for Singer Sewing Machines
Singer sells machines across two different bobbin systems, and they are not interchangeable. Getting the right one starts with knowing how your machine loads its bobbin.
Top-loading (drop-in) Singer machines: Class 15
If your Singer's bobbin drops in from the top, under a clear or snap-off cover, it almost certainly takes a Class 15 bobbin — the standard used across most modern home machines, Singer included. Class 15 measures 20.3mm outer diameter, 6.1mm inner diameter, and 11.5mm (7/16 in) in height.
Sewphee options: Class 15 Bobbins for Singer (4.6★, 1,427 ratings on Amazon.ca) and Class 15 Bobbins — Metal (4.6★, 348 ratings) if your machine's manual specifies a metal bobbin. See the full Class 15 Bobbins collection.
Older front-loading Singer machines: Class 66
If your bobbin sits in a removable case under the needle plate rather than dropping in from the top, and the bobbin itself has rounded rather than flat sides, check for Class 66 — used mainly by older Singer front-loading machines. Class 66 is not interchangeable with Class 15.
Sewphee option: Class 66 Bobbins for Singer (4.6★, 198 ratings on Amazon.ca). See the full Class 66 Bobbins collection.
Still not sure which one?
Check the bobbin class or model number in your Singer manual, or send us your machine model and we'll confirm the fit before you order. Full class-by-class detail: Sewing Machine Bobbins: The Complete Guide.
